So go these lyrics, to the 1961 song "Blue Moon." I got thinking about it when wondering if we were already under the influence of a full moon today; that would be consistent with the events of the day.

(It's Friday. Close enough for jazz.)

Yesterday featured a seven-hour commitment to a deposition of a client, with my interrogation of the opponent scheduled for tomorrow.  The exact time and place for the latter proceeding didn't get nailed down until late- very late- this afternoon, and the last of a series of emails confirming other essential information didn't arrive until, oh, just now.  We're starting earlier than I would've liked because dude needs to try to catch a plane back home at the end of the day tomorrow. To Raleigh, NC, which apparently has been relegated to the eighth circle of hell by something like three inches of snow, canceling all in and out flights for the rest of today and into who-knows-how-long.

You're not coming to dinner at OUR house tomorrow night, guy:P

So that eats tomorrow, with Friday having been reserved for what would have been my weekly maintenance day in Rochester. I put that off from today because there was no way, no how, that a long-delayed closing would come together by the end of this week. Except it now has- and I have to put together a buttload of documents before tomorrow's festivities and close the thing at 4:00 Friday afternoon, in a still unconfirmed location.

Along with all of those, I got calls from last week's two-day out-of-town trip guy, finally acknowledging all the work I'd done for him and telling me a court clerk was rejecting my work product as being "incomplete." He's yet to send me the details that will "complete" it.  Also, calls from a past client's husband, and from a long-ago colleague whose client wants to hire me- on a call that will apparently come in at precisely the wrong moment tomorrow during my Spanish Inquisition of Cardinal Fang.

But I got my PBS disks of Sherlock series 3 and started watching the specials, so there's that:

"Gravity boots. An enormous inflatable ass. Pegasus. The TARDIS."

No matter how the next two days go, there's the remainder of THAT to look forward to;)
